The 10th International conference on Smart Energy Systems takes place in Aalborg on 10-11 September 2024. The conference dinner takes place on 10 September, and the technical tours on 9 and 12 September. More information about the tours.

Conference attendees can purchase the third edition of Henrik Lund’s book Renewable Energy Systems – A Smart Energy Systems Approach to the Choice and Modeling of Fully Decarbonized Societies with a 50% discount. You must order the book when you register and will then receive it upon arrival at the conference.

Conference fees

  • Early registration (for presenters with accepted abstracts): 375 EUR (attendance in Aalborg) / 275 EUR (virtual attendance). Deadline for early registration was 31 May 2024. 
  • Normal fee: 475 EUR (attendance in Aalborg) / 375 EUR (virtual attendance). Normal fee applies from 1 June to 15 August 2024.
  • Additional fee for conference dinner (Aalborg): 110 EUR

When you register, you pay a basic conference fee. If you wish to participate online, no further fees are added. If you wish to participate in person in Aalborg and in the conference dinner, additional fees are added to the basic conference fee, when you select these options in the form.

All prices are inclusive of 25% VAT. Payment must be made by credit card. A receipt will be sent by email.

Cancellation policy

  •           Cancellations are non-refundable
  •           Non-arrivals will be non-refundable for any reason
  •           Substitute participants will be accepted at any time – a name will be required

Right of withdrawal

  •            You waive your 14-day withdrawal right when you register for this conference
